Cecile Morgan of Rancho Mirage took advantage of One Block Off the Grid's campaign last year (Coachella Valley with HelioPower) to put a 7.2-kilowatt system on her 2,800-square-foot home thinking it would cover about 80 percent of her and her husband's electrical use.
“It's doing 100 percent and a bit more, and we are stoked,” Morgan said.

My (electric) bill was $0
I had solar installed on my home in the Palm Springs Ca. area by Heliopower. My anniversary date is Jan 16th and my Feb bill was $0 with credits. That was my first solar bill. I am totally happy with my solar system and I know I will not have to pay for energy next month either. That meter just keeps going around and around backwards.
Also, I had the pleasure of meeting Vanessa, my solar representative. She has been so helpful to me in regards to solar. No question is too small or too big. She knows what she is talking about.
I received one rebate check for $8,226.00 and will get the balance next January, cutting my cost almost in half.
Just wanted you to know I just love the solar panels and so sorry I didn’t invest in them years ago.

Dear HelioPower, we are so pleased we went with you for our solar power install. It's not too often one can receive the best service & product at a reasonable price (in fact, you beat our other quote by thousands!!!). We enjoyed our experience with everyone...our sales rep rep was awesome! We were blown away by your install crew! The solar panels & inverters look great! And everyday they worked, they left no mess!!! Also, a special thank you to Jonah as well, for he put it all together and followed up on everything! Thanks to everyone at HelioPower!!! I want to commend and praise the crew you had out at my house this Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. They were FANTASTIC. They were CLEAN, Kind, Friendly, Capable, Knowledgeable and I would recommend them to anyone putting in solar. They are truly an ASSET to HelioPower and I would recommend the company to anyone because of the service I have received. Keep employing persons as capable and kind as this crew. My first SDG&E true up statement was $14.14 for the entire year!
Dear HelioPower,
To say that I am happy with your services would be an understatement. My first Annual True-up statement from SDG&E came this month and it was $14.14 for the entire year!!! I had been spending about $2,400 for electricity in 2009. I can't thank you enough for hitting the ball out of the park on my system. I told you what I wanted to accomplish and you engineered it, installed it and got me down to paying practically nothing for electricity. The system is exceeding the CSI spec by about 12% as you predicted.
I may have mentioned that I looked at installing solar three times over the last 20 years with the third time being the charm, as the saying goes. In recent years, the drastic reduction in the cost of solar components and the dramatic increase in government tax credits and rebates, made all the difference. Also, very cheap interest rates (around 3.7% on a home equity loan) made it possible for me to own my system (rather than lease) and have free electricity in 6-7 years. My monthly cash flow has already improved by $80 month over what I was paying on average for my electric bill previously. I also like the idea that I am now insulated from power company rate hikes.
My friends and family are taking notice as I share my $14 electric bill with them. Many are realizing what a "No Brainer" this is and should be new customers of HelioPower in the coming months. Thanks again for delivering what you promised and then some. Best of luck to you in what I consider a very exciting and worthwhile industry.

When one of our summer electricity bills reached $500, I looked for options which would reduce our cost. Online I noticed 1BOG had coupled with HelioPower on an advantageous program and as I knew the area in which HelioPower was located I was put in contact with Matt McPherson who showed me, my wife and brother-in-law the obvious advantages in having HelioPower do our installation.
Our electrical supplier, Imperial Irrigation District, had not previously worked with HelioPower but Matt McPherson had all of the answers in providing a seamless installation. All permits, inspections and installation concerns through HelioPower, IID and our homeowners association were quickly handled by Matt McPherson. The installation crew provided by Mr.McPherson and HelioPower were excellent, knowledgeable, courteous and efficient, including clean-up. An admirable job was done by all. Thanks Matt and HelioPower for reducing or eliminating our electricity bill!"

We have seen the benefits each month as our solar production increases and our electric bill continues to decrease. The SunnyPortal website provides a simple and easy way to monitor hourly, daily, and monthly output. And we still get a kick out of watching the meter run backwards.
