Ground mounted adjustable tilt rack system developed for Azure Power Punjab Ltd.
1.1 MW power plant in Ahwan, Punjab's Amritsar district, India. This is the first megawatt-scale Independent Power Project (IPP) solar facility to sell clean, sustainably generated electricity to India’s grid system. Commissioned December 2009, the plant employs advanced solar photovoltaic technology to power 4,000 rural homes, while eliminating as much carbon dioxide pollution as 535,000 trees do annually.
Exceed Expectations: Overcome “First of Its Kind” Project Challenges & Meet Deadline
Remotely located site with a staff unfamiliar with large scale PV installations. Tools considered essential were largely not available, requiring in the field innovation for accomplishing the tasks at hand. In spite of significant challenges, the project was accomplished well before the deadline.
