Steve LoRusso
Steve considers himself one of those fortunate individuals who married his passion with his career. Steve taught California's first Solar School back in the late 1970's. At the end of his two-year commitment, San Diego's largest solar company at the time, SOCALSO, recruited him. Steve was part of the executive team that led SOCALSO to a public merger with then, NASDAQ listed, Dynasty Resources.
Five years ago Steve resumed his solar career with HelioPower, one of California's largest solar contractors. Today, HelioPower has grown into the 8th largest solar integrator firm in California. The company has engineered and installed nearly 2000 solar and clean energy power installations in the United States and serves clients worldwide.
During his tenure he has co-hosted a weekly radio talk show on KCEO Radio in San Diego on Solar Energy and founded as Executive Director, the TAWA Foundation. TAWA (Toward A Working America), is a 501c3 non-profit dedicated to educating the public about the much needed jobs that would be created by a burgeoning renewable energy industry in America.
