Jonah Liebes

Jonah has a passion for renewable energy and believes solar PV is ready for a mass market. As head of operations for HelioPower, he manages the installation of the company's residential and commercial projects.

The construction industry is well known to Jonah. Before joining HelioPower, he built his family's residential construction business, doing high end retrofits for nearly 25 years. During that time, he has also been a tropical naturalist in Costa Rica and Guatemala as well as a researcher doing a multi-year inventory of the birds of the Yosemite National Park.

Jonah is a fifth generation San Francisco native and received his Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from Prescott College in Arizona. He received his degree in solar energy system design at San Juan College in New Mexico and is certified by the industry standard North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP™).

He brings a solid background in construction to the company and his passion as a naturalist to the installation of solar power systems to the mass market of California and Nevada, where the company now has several offices.
